The year so far..

With another successful WBM in the books, it's time to start doing other things; because yes, the year is already half over. Let's give a little recap so far. January - held our "Winter Solstice Trail Ride" Which was a hit! We had over 25+ vehicles come out for a crazy day on the trails in CT. A perfect mix of snow and mud made this trip extra fun. The trail was pretty challenging overall with lots of DEEP water.

A few of us Admins also decided to hit Freetown to check conditions for an upcoming member trail ride. It was cold, muddy and filled with broken ice; to be expected for January. We casually strolled down the trails and had some fun.

February - we hosted a member's trail ride in the Freetown State Forest. We had figured since we checked it a few weeks prior, we would be good. Well, there was enough ice to sink the titanic, and apparently me.

The ENTIRE trail was an ice luge. Ice over and inch thick coated the entire network of dirt roads. We attempted to go up the Quanapoag hill, to which we literally slid backwards and couldn't get up the hill. (we tried though). We doubled back and went up Copicut, which was equally as bad. Mass

We took a break for March. Weather was super cold and the trails were all snow and ice.

April - Our first Collaboration with another group was a hit. We teamed up with Banfield Offroad Adventures to conquer some challenging terrain in northern MA. This was the peak of what a modified Subaru could do. Tacky mud, extremely rocky terrain and deep-water crossings made this a challenge, even for us seasoned veterans. The trail stopped us in our tracks multiple times. Needless to say, Skid plates were a must.

May - We took most of May to prep for WBM, but we did have a great time up in NH doing Sandwich Notch; Camping, not so much as the weather didn't hold out. Casual water crossings, beautiful ponds and plenty of dirt roads made the trail just easy enough to enjoy the scenery. We found hidden caves, waterfalls and serene mountain ponds. Everyone had a great time and we'll be going back!

JUNE - Ah June... The month of our biggest event; Wicked Big Meet. After MONTHS of preparation and event planning it was finally time. June 6th, we traveled to Wilderness Lake for a few days of camping before the big show. Our turnout this year was DOUBLE last year with 20 People and 4 doggos! Needless to say, it was a great time. We also had fun at WBM with our booth and had a handful of new members join the ranks. (Welcome new members!)

And that brings us to now.

We're back on track and continuing to work on the website and regular hosted events. From here, it only goes up.

Thank you to EVERYONE who has already helped make this year such a success. We look forward to the remainder of the year.
