Going Big.

ree

Following another successful (and exhausting) WBM, the summer heat usually keeps us indoors, making us long for the cooler days of fall. The year has already flown by, and those cool fall evenings are quickly approaching. This year, Adventure O.N.E has a significant opportunity ahead that promises to be both exciting and enriching for our team and community. We are thrilled to announce that Subaru USA has extended a special invitation to a select few to attend Overland Expo East, which will take place in Arrington, Virginia this October. This prestigious event is renowned for bringing together the best of the overlanding community, showcasing innovative gear, vehicles, and experiences that resonate with outdoor enthusiasts. We were absolutely elated upon receiving the invitation, as it represents not just an opportunity to attend, but a chance to actively participate and engage with fellow adventurers who share our passion for exploration and the great outdoors. In preparation for this momentous occasion, five of us will be driving down to Virginia, ready to showcase everything we have worked tirelessly for over the years. It’s not just about the journey; it’s about representing our brand and community in the big leagues of overlanding. From October 2-5, we will be camping at Subaru's Sunrise Basecamp, alongside nearly 30 other Subaru owners who, like us, are eager to share their experiences and connect with like-minded individuals. This event is more than just a gathering; it is an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the overlanding lifestyle. We will be showcasing our skills, our vehicles, and the gear we have meticulously curated to enhance our adventures; Subaru Style. Our participation at the Overland Expo East is a chance to prove that we have what it takes to be a vital part of the overlanding community, where camaraderie, knowledge sharing, and a love for adventure converge. As we prepare for this incredible event, we are filled with anticipation and excitement. We look forward to meeting fellow adventurers, learning from experts in the field, and sharing our own experiences with those who understand the thrill of the open road. This is not just a trip; it's a celebration of our shared passion for adventure and exploration, and we can’t wait to embark on this journey together.

As a result, we'll be making a slight change to the structure of the group. The Guide role will be implemented as followed:

  • Founders

  • Guides

  • Admins

    -------------------------------

  • O.N.E+

  • Members

Each role encompasses the titles below it. For instance, while all Guides are admins, not every Admin is a Guide.

The Guide role will be selectively assigned to individuals who demonstrate a strong passion and motivation for progressing our group. They will have the ability to host and coordinate events, respond to inquiries, and more. Adventure O.N.E will begin actively seeking to fill more Guide roles immediately.

I will be making some changes to the website to assist Guides in their roles and ensure they have access to the necessary resources.

Oh! I'm also going to be working on making more blog posts as well as working on programs.
